TV,Films and Recordings

There is huge popularity in Brass music for television, film scores and studio recordings. In recent times, some of the most successful productions have relied either partly or entirely on the genre.

In the world of film, Brassed Off, The Full Monty and Saving Private Ryan all lean heavily on significant contributions from brass instrumentalists. Television, of course has recently produced a number of programmes featuring this distinctive sound, notably, 'Ground Force'. 'Hetty Wainthrop Investigates' and 'Midsomer Murders'.

On the recording front. who could forget Terry Wogan's ‘Floral Dance’ outselling the original release by the Brighouse & Rastrick Band. Then there was Jonah Louis’ ‘Stop the Cavalry’ and the many chart successes by Peter Skellern and Grimethorpe. Finally. television advertising wouldn't quite be the same without the unique and much parodied 'Hovis' ad’s.

The Brass Players have extensive experience in providing music in this area, and would be delighted to discuss how they might add value to your project.
